Missy Franklin, Katie Ledecky Among Impressive Nominees for U.S. Sports Academy Female Athlete of 2013

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 5. THE year-end awards keep coming in, and Missy Franklin and Katie Ledecky could add to their stacked accolades if either wins the United States Sports Academy’s Female Athlete of the Year.

Along with Franklin and Ledecky in the list of nominees are:

Serena Williams, Tennis, United States
Kim Yuna, Figure Skating, South Korea

Williams won this award in 2012 over Franklin.

No aquatic athletes are in the running for the male athlete of the year award. Usain Bolt will attempt to win the award again after snatching it from Michael Phelps last year. Along with Bolt, the male nominees are:
