Minnesota State-Moorhead vs. St. Cloud State

SAINT CLOUD, Minnesota, October 15. IN the St. Cloud State University women's swimming and diving season opener, the Huskies totaled 12 of 13 victories in the first day of dual competition against Minnesota State University Moorhead on Friday, Oct. 15, in Halenbeck Hall's Aquatic Center.

"I am very happy with how our team swam tonight," said SCSU's assistant coach Anthony Buhr. "It's nice to see where we're at right now since it's the beginning of the year. I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!"

The Huskies won both relays (400 medley/400 free) and senior Cassi Mrozek (Inver Grove Heights) swept both boards this evening for St. Cloud State.

Junior swimmer Kelsey Noah (Charles City, Iowa) garnered victories in the 200 free (2:00.87) and the 500 free (5:25.41), while sophomore Dayna Nellis (Green Bay, Wis.) posted wins in the 1650 free (18:20.31) and 200 fly (2:15.12).

The SCSU women will resume action against the MSUM Dragons tomorrow afternoon, Saturday, Oct. 16, in Halenbeck Hall. Admission is FREE for fans and the first event begins at 12:00 pm.
