Michael Andrew Posts Quick Times At Swim Pink A+ Invite

IOWA CITY, Iowa, June 20. NATIONAL age group record-breaking phenom Michael Andrew of Indie Swimming posted a couple of quick times tonight at the Swim Pink A+ Invitational, though he won’t have any new national age group records to his credit.

Andrew, 15, posted times of 51.87 in the 100 free, 2:29.94 in the 200 breast and 55.38 in the 100 fly today. Those times are just off his personal bests of 51.30, 2:27.31 and 54.59, respectively. Andrew holds the long course national age group records in the 100 free and 100 fly for 13-14 year olds, but will have to swim significantly faster to track down Caeleb Dressel’s 15-16 record in the 100 free (49.28) and Justin Lynch’s record in the 100 fly (52.75).

The Swim Pink meet is being held at the University of Iowa Recreation Center and supports swimmers and families affected by cancer.
