Maureen Rankin Joins Team Swimming World

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 11. SWIMMING World is happy to announce the hiring of Maureen (Mo) Rankin for the position of Circulation and Marketing Manager.

Rankin comes to Swimming World with a wealth of experience in the sport of swimming. She was a nine-time All-American while swimming for the University of Arizona from 1988-92. Rankin came to Arizona after having competed in Oregon for the Multnomah Swim Club. She has coached age group swimmers at the Phoenix Swim Club in Phoenix for the past 13 years, and has prior coaching experience in high school and Masters-level swimming. She holds Arizona Masters state records and is a United States Masters Swimming national champion in her age group.

“Maureen brings all the traits of a successful coach into our organization; goal setting, attention to detail, positive attitude, recruiting techniques that directly translate into salesmanship and marketing. She will have an immediate impact on our magazine as it relates to content, partnerships and customer support. We are so thrilled to have her on our team to start the New Year,” said Brent Rutemiller, CEO and Publisher of Swimming World Magazine.

Rankin currently serves as the Age Group Chair for Arizona Swimming and will continue in that capacity as she transitions to the dry side of the sport.

“I am so excited to be a part of the Swimming World Team! I’m looking forward to being on the ‘dry side’ of the pool and all of the challenges it offers,” Rankin added.

Maureen is married to Mark Rankin, an accomplished Masters Coach and alum swimmer from the University of Arizona. Together, they have two children named Mia and Luke.
