TIBURON, California, October 2. IT wasn’t a bad day for Polish Olympian Mateusz Sawrymowicz. After winning the RCP Tiburon Mile, and the $10,000 grand prize for the victory, his bank account definitely jumped from the $1.35 he told SwimmingWorld.TV he had in his bank account.

Sawrymowicz talked about the cold water, and his open water pursuits that are providing him a different career path after suffering through some serious illness and injuries issues in the past six years. He not only had a torn ACL, he also had to fight off a battle with mono.
