Benn Doyle, another swimmer from the Garden State–that’s New Jersey–clocked 30.75 for 50m breaststroke, breaking the men’s 40-44 USMS record of 30.80.
Emily Peters, 24, twice swam her way into the record book for women 19-24. the Empire Masters ace stroked 4:34.24 for the 400m freestyle, breaking the women’s 19-24 record of 4:43.50, and 9:45.80, almost four seconds faster than the old mark.
