Marko Strahija Sets Croatian Record in Men’s 100 Backstroke

ZAGREB, Croatia, July 28. AT the Croatian National Championships held in Zagreb, Marko Strahija broke the Croatian standard in the men's 100 back.

Strahija dominated the event with a time of 54.67, which surpassed the former record of 55.08 set by Gordan Kozulj in 2005.

The time put Strahija into 12th in the world this year behind 10th-place Peter Marshall (54.64) and 11th-place Matt Welsh (54.65).

Ante Cvitkovic placed second in 56.12, while Ivan Tolic took third in 57.56. Kozulj wound up fourth in the race with a time of 58.05.
