Mario Todorovic, Ana Radic Among Winners at Golden Bear Invitational

The first day of the 2015 Golden Bear Invitational highlighted a large variety of winners with including Mario Todorovic, Ana Radic and Balog Gabor. 

Katarzyna Wik claimed the win in the women’s 200-meter free with a 2:01.79, shaving 3.25 seconds off her entry time of 2:05.04. Tjan Pintar was second with a 2:03.22, while Kamila Kunka rounded out the top three with a 2:03.25.

Michael Zawadka led the men’s 50-meter breaststroke with a 28.10. Gabor Financsek took second with a time of 28.27, while Matej Kuchar was a close third with a final time of 28.29.

Ana Radic grabbed the win in the women’s 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1:09.96. Sztandera Dominika posted a 1:11.19 for second, while Alina Zmushka was third with a 1:11.86.

Maciej Sobczyk dashed to the win in the men’s 400-meter IM, beating the competition by 8.98 seconds. Kristofer Rogic finished second with a 4:45.53. Stefan Brnad took third with a 4:47.47.

Arianna Letrari and Katja Hajdinjak battled for first in the women’s 100-meter fly, splitting within .02 of each other on the first 50. Letrari was able to turn on the heat in the second half of the race, pulling ahead to finish first with a 1:02.37. Hajdinjak took second with a 1:02.97. Nastassia Karakouskaya was third with a 1:04.46.

Balog Gabor led the men in the 100-meter back posting a final time of 55.57. Marko Krce Rabar finished second with a 57.72, while Teo Kolonic took third with a 58.15.

Theodora Drakou cranked out a 28.46 to claim first in the women’s 50-meter back. Sanja Jovanovic finished second overall with a 29.06, while Svitlana Khaklova was third with a 29.18.

Radic threw down a 2:17.74 in the women’s 200-meter IM for her second win of the day. Teresa Baerens posted a 2:20.06 for second, while Paulina Uryga was third with a 2:@2.85.

Sven Arnar Saemundsson claimed the win in the men’s 400-meter free with a 4:04.20. Zan Pogacar took second with a 4:05.31, while Marin Ercegovic was third with a 4:10.67.

Aleksandra Gerasimenya dashed to the win in the women’s 50-meter free with a quick 24.98. Drakou took second overall with a 25.59. Jovanovic claimed third with a 26.15.

Panagiotis Samilidis posted a 2:14.91 for first in the men’s 200-meter breaststroke. Bartlomiej Roguski claimed second with a 2:16.73, while Lachezar Shumkov was third with a 2:17.11.

Dajana Schlegel blasted to first in the women’s 200-meter back with a winning time of 2:21.49, finishing 4.65 seconds ahead of the competition. Marta Lekovic claimed second with a 2:26.14, while Melina Schlegel rounded out the top three with a 2:29.57.

Mario Todorovic cruised to a first-place finish in the men’s 50-meter fly with a final time of 24.10. Dinko Jukic took second with a 24.38, while Andreas Vazios claimed third with a 24.77.

It’s ” Katerzyna WIK,” not the other way ’round as you have, and she’s been swimming for USC last few years so you should be familuar with her,
