Marathon Swimmer Returns

From World T.E.A.M. Sports: Marathon swimmer, Diana Nyad, will return to the water on Saturday, Oct. 5 for the annual Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim, a 1.5 mile endurance race, beginning on Alcatraz Island and finishing at San Francisco’s Aquatic Park. Nyad’s 102.5 mile, non-stop swim between the Bahamas and the Florida coast in 1979 set a record for the longest swim in history.
