Maine Class B High School State Championships

ORONO, Maine, March 8. AT the Maine Class B High School State Championships, Greely walked away with two state titles. On the boys' side, Greely tallied 360 points for first followed by Mount Desert Island (258) and Belfast Area (234). The Greely girls won with 344.50 points while Mount Desert took second (263.60) and Falmouth finished third (208).

Boys Results
Greely won two of three relays. John Madeira, Patrick Bowden, Dan Spencer, and Ian Mecray won the 200 medley relay (1:43.20).

Spencer and Mecray had individual wins in the 100 and 50 freestyles. They clocked times of 50.04 and 23.10, respectively.

Won Ho Chang (Hyde) was a dual event winner in the 100 butterfly (51.31) and the 500 freestyle (5:02.53). He teamed up with Erik Peterson, James Frazier and Kevin Ou for a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:34.96).

Mount Desert Island's Ian Carbone won the 200 IM and the 100 breaststroke. He clocked times of 2:00.58 and 1:00.79, respectively.

Sophomore Ryan Conley (Falmouth) won the diving competition with 235.75 points. Belfast Area's Taylor Light took second (227.70) and Greely's Ben Marchese placed third (224.20).

Bowden, Madeira, Mecray, and Spencer teamed up for a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:24.53).

Girls Results
Mount Desert Island's Chelsey Curran, Augusta Blandford, Ryann Rourk, and Amelia Kief won the 200 medley relay in 1:58.17.

Lianne McCluskey (Camden Hills) had individual wins in the 50 freestyle (24.81) and the 100 butterfly (59.79).

Freshman Sarah Easterling (Greely) was a dual event winner in the 200 IM (2:14.29) and the 100 backstroke (1:00.19). She teamed up with Megan Stroud, Taylor Roach and Sara Schad (the 100 free champ in 54.54) for a first-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:44.24).

Top finishers in the diving competition include Nicola Mancini (Falmouth) (344.95), Amber Resmini (Belfast Area) (328.50) and Evie Perry (Falmouth) (286.45).

Stroud, Sydney Easterling, Roach, and Schad closed the meet with a win in the 400 freestyle relay (3:47.08).
