Lynne Cox to Appear on “Letterman” on Friday

ENCINITAS, Feb. 19. BARRIER-busting open water swimmer Lynne Cox, who recently became the first human being to swim a mile (or any distance) in Antarctica, will appear on the "Late Show with David Letterman" this Friday, February 21. The show is broadcast by CBS Television.

Cox swam 1.23 miles in 32-degree water (0 Celsius) in 25 minutes. Her amazing feat was featured on a "60 Minutes II" segment last week.
