LSU, Kentucky Lead SECs After Day Two

FAYETTEVEVILLE, AR., Feb. 20. AFTER two days day of competition — but with only the diving events and the 200 medley relay having been completed — LSU leads the women's team scoring with 55 points and Kentucky tops the men with 73 at the 2002 Southeastern Conference Championships.

The meet is taking place in the Frank G. Broyles Memorial Natatorium on the campus of the University of Arkansas, site of the 1985 women's NCAA Division 1 Championships.

Alabama (54) is in second in the women's standings, followed by South Carolina (54), Tennessee (53), Florida (28) and Kentucky (21). Coach Jack Bauerle's defending-champ Georgia — treble-defending NCAA champs too — are tied with Kentucky, while next comes Arkansas (12) and Auburn (12).

In the men's race after Kentucky's Wildcats come defending champ Auburn (48), Alabama (39), Tennessee (36), Florida (34), Georgia (33), S. Carolina (32) and LSU (15).
