Limestone vs. Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, North Carolina, October 9. BOTH Pfeiffer University swim teams started off the 2010-2011 with a pair of losses hosting Limestone in the season opener. The men dropped a 164-98 decision to the Saints while the Lady Falcons fell 170-75.

Pfeiffer scored its first and only individual win in event nine as Haley Carter took the top spot in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:12.20. On the men's side, newcomer Charlie Melesh tallied the first Falcon win three events later in the 200 yard butterfly posting a time of 1:59.48.

Melesh later snagged a win in the 200 individual medley out-touching Limestone by a half-second. Jim Roddenbery and George Moreno registered the only other individual wins for the Falcons. Roddenbery took top honors in the 200 yard breaststroke while Moreno finished first in the 100 fly.

In a majority of the finishes on Saturday, races came down to the final few strokes. Both Pfeiffer teams will be back in action on Friday, October 22nd hosting Queens at 7:00p.m.
