Limestone Sweeps St. Andrews (M:128-48; W:119-50)

GAFFNEY, South Carolina, October 27. THE Limestone College men's and women's swim teams both defeated St. Andrews on Saturday afternoon at the Timken Aquatic Center. The Lady Saints defeated SAPC 119-50, while the Saints won 128-48.

Limestone's Ryan Mead, Chad McKenzie, Zeljko Karaman, and David Krahn had a time of 1:42.72 to win the 200 yard medley relay. Krahn won the 200 yard freestyle (1:53.95), Craig Jordens took first in the 50 freestyle (21.62), and Chad McKenzie won the 200 individual medley (1:56.42). Matt Parsonage posted a time of 52.85 to win the 100 butterfly and swam the 500 freestyle in 5:04.88 for another victory. Anders Melin finished first in the 100 backstroke (54.45).

Mead finished first in the mixed 1000 freestyle (11:07.05), as Molly Reichwald was the top finisher for the women in the same event as she took third (11:19.06). Jenna Arington won the 100 freestyle (58.56), and Donna Wickham finished the 100 backstroke in 1:02.48 for a win.

Lady Saint Marija Grubic took first in the 200 freestyle (2:04.59), Renee Pouchet won the 50 freestyle (26.29), and Jessie Sullivan got a victory in the 100 butterfly (1:02.32). Grubic picked up another win in the 500 freestyle.

The Lady Knights' Sarah Supcoe won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:20.36. She also picked up a victory in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.60). The relay team of Amy Tripson, Leslie Firth, Courtney Betram, and Kailey Rouse took first in the 200 freestyle relay (2:12.36).

Dwight Richardson won the 100 yard freestyle for SAPC with a time of 49.54. Robb Vermillion had a time of 1:10.75 for a victory in the men's 100 yard breaststroke. Richardson, Adam Crago, Vermillion, and Brad Kochel got a victory in the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.66).

Limestone travels to Charlotte, N.C., to face Pfeiffer on Friday, November 2 at 6 p.m. St. Andrews travels to Misenheimer, N.C., to swim against Pfeiffer on November 3 at 1 p.m.
