Lenny K Scores a Double in the Baby Stakes

By Stephen J. Thomas

SYDNEY, Australia. FOUR-TIME Olympic gold medalist Lenny Krayzelburg and his partner Irina proudly announced the birth of twin daughters Daniella and Alexa just three weeks ago. It seems the dorsal legend has had his hands full coping with the great experience but has admitted that considering his swimming career is not too far from his mind.

Krazelberg admitted he was still deciding if he will continue or hang up his suit. The key he said is if he can be injury free. "I would love to give it another shot, I will make my decision very soon," he said.

He's been a very popular and successful swimmer Down Under, having taken the dorsal double at World Champs in Perth in '98, Pan Pacs in Sydney '99 and of course the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Lenny K is not alone in the baby stakes with recently retired Aussie Olympic gold medalists Todd Pearson and Sarah Ryan expecting an addition shortly with their respective partners together with Michael Klim and fiance Lindy Rama expecting early next year.
