Kyle Owens: From 400 IMer to Super Sprinter at Auburn (Video Interview)

Editorial coverage sponsored by SpeedoUSA

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, March 30. KYLE Owens has been a key player on Auburn's relays, including as anchor on the winning 200 free relay, and in this video interview at the men's NCAA Division I swimming and diving championships, he talks about the team's goal to win the race since the start of the season.

Owens, who came to Auburn University known mostly for his middle-distance prowess, also talks about his evolution to becoming a strong sprinter, something he says “just happens” under the tutelage of Brett Hawke. But he's still excited for the 200 backstroke on Saturday, a day which he says will end his swimming career.

More video interviews from athletes and coaches are available now on NCAA event landing page, so be sure to check back often for more from the deck at the IU Natatorium!
