Juniors Continue. One More Day to Finish Stanford Tripleheader

PALO ALTO, Calif. August 13. Chesea Nauta, 15 of Tampa Bay Aquatics, started off the evening with a bang, again, as she added the 200 freestyle to her 100 freestyle title with a 2:03.14, leading three girls under the national standard. (Christin Jennings, Boulder, 2:04.05; Kim Jasmer, South Coast, 2:04.21.)

David Russell complete the men’s 100-200 backstroke double winning the 200 in 2:03.95. Russell was the silver medal winner in both backstrokes at the 2004 ConocoPhillips National Championships last week.

Stanford is nearing its end of being the epicenter of American swimming, much like Long Beach was earlier in the summer. Stanford has, on consecutive weekends hosted a training camp for the U.S. Olympic Team, hosted the ConocoPhillips National Championships and now the NCSA Junior Nationals.

Other Champions, semi-final leaders or people meeting the nationals standard included:
