SAN ANTONIO, Texas, February 13. A media blitz and a guilty conscience led to the return of Josh Davis' stolen medals.
Davis originally discovered the medals missing earlier this week. However, after getting the word out about to various media outlets including Swimming World Magazine, his three gold medals from 1996 and one silver medal from 2000 were returned today.
The four medals were left on the steps of the San Antonio Salvation Army/Boys and Girls Club today inside the sock in which Davis stored them in his vehicle.
"My prayers have been answered," Davis told Swimming World. "Thank God."
