John Foster To Sign Letter of Intent With Cal Berkeley

IRVINE, Calif, November 14. JOHN Foster, 16, who relocated from Boulder City, NV to Southern California this summer, will be signing a National Letter of Intent to the University of California at Berkeley. Foster who swims on Dave Salo's Irvine Novaquatics is a Senior National qualifier in the 400 and 800 meter freestyle, as well as the 1000 yard freestyle, a 11-time NISCA All-American, and helped lead Boulder City High School to two consecutive State Championships the past two years.

John will graduate from Villa Park High School, has a 4.2 GPA, and is a two-time Scholastic All-American. "I really felt at home with the guys up there, I have the same goals and expectations as they do," Foster said. "I am looking forward to working with Nort, and becoming a student of the sport, his knowledge and creativeness is unlike any that I have seen," Foster added. Other schools Foster considered were USC, Notre Dame, and the University of Arizona.
