Job Opening: Aquatics Director/Varsity Swim Coach

Fork Union Military Academy is seeking to hire an Aquatics Director/Varsity Swim Coach for the 2015-2016 school year. Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, and possess the following certifications: Certified Pool Operator, Certified American Swim Coach Level III, Certified United States Swimming Coach, Certified Lifeguard Instructor, and Certified CPR/First Aid/AED.

The job requirements include: coordinating the Aquatics Center’s daily and special-event operations, will coordinate any needs for summer swim camp with camp director, supervisor of aquatics for the high school and club teams, works with the Director of Athletics and Athletics Facility Manager in coordinating staff assignments to supervise activities, repairs and maintenance of aquatics facilities, oversees organization of the Fork Union Aquatic Club Swim Team, will offer and instruct lifeguard courses, will attend various home aquatic competitions and be willing to support any needs that may occur during the event, and other duties as assigned.

Fork Union Military Academy is a fully accredited boys’ boarding school located in historic Fluvanna County, between Charlottesville and Richmond, Virginia. The Academy offers our students a college preparatory curriculum while teaching Christian values in a military-style environment. Our typical student body is comprised of 420 boys from more than 30 states and 15 foreign countries in grades 7-12.
