Jeremy Waldhart Earns Second Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Honors

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, May 21. JUNIOR Jeremy Waldhart of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming team was named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Second Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday. This is the second-straight season that he has earned the prestigious second-team honors.

The team captain won 14 races and placed second in eight others during the 2008-09 season. He set school records in the 200 backstroke (placing second) and 400 IM (taking fourth) at the Horizon League Championships in 2009 and also set a Klotsche Natatorium record in the 200 backstroke during the year.

He carries the highest cumulative GPA on the men's swimming team at Milwaukee of anyone that qualified for the award and was named to the Academic Winter All-Horizon League team this spring for the second-straight season. In addition, he has been selected as the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Week four times in his career and once as the Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Month.

Waldhart, a biology major with a 3.91 GPA, has been on the Dean's List and a member of the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll each semester at UWM.
