Italy’s Federica Pellegrini Named Spokesperson for Fiat

TURIN, Italy, October 18. ITALY's Federica Pellegrini, who briefly held a world record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:56.47 in the semifinal round of the World Championships in Melbourne, has been named an official spokesperson for Fiat Automobiles, according to a report by the Auto Spectator.

Yesterday, at the Mirofiori Motor Village in Turin, Pellegrini began her two-year contract with Fiat with a bang as she received a Fiat 500 Lounge vehicle. The Auto Spectator report also has an image of Pellegrini posing with her new vehicle.

Pellegrini, who wound up with a bronze medal in the 200 free at Worlds while France's Laure Manaudou came over the top of her newly-minted record with a 1:56.64, has won 23 Italian national titles and is the Italian record holder in the 50, 100, 200 and 400 freestyle.
