Ziv Kalontarov, an Olympian for Israel at the 2016 Games this season, is currently not on Auburn University’s roster for what would be his junior season at the school.

According to a spokesman for Auburn’s swim team, Kalontarov “has sat out this semester to focus on academics” but may return to the team in the future. It is still unclear when that would be.

Kalontarov swam on a pair of Auburn’s relays at the NCAA championships last year, helping his team finish sixth in the 200 free relay and 11th in the 400 free relay.
