Israel Swimming Announces Two for World University Games

JERUSALEM, Israel, July 2. SINCE the Israeli National Championships will be taking place from Aug. 6-11, during the World University Games set for Aug. 8-13, Israel Swimming will only be sending a pair of athletes to the Universiade.

Micki Malul, hailing from the University of Kentucky, and Gal Nevo, who calls Arizona State University home, will raise Israel's flag at the World University Games.

Malul will push for medals in the breaststroke events, as he is currently ranked eighth in the world in the 50 breast, while Nevo is an IMer whose best event is at the 400-meter distance.
