IOC Approves Nine Nationality Changes Shortly Before 2012 London Olympics

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, July 18. THE International Olympic Committee approved a total of nine nationality changes, two from aquatics sports, heading into the 2012 London Games.

Swimmer Alexandr Tarabrin, formerly of Russia, will be allowed to represent Kazakhstan in London. Meanwhile, Anike Pelle, formerly of Hungary, will now represent Italy in London.

Tarabrin will compete in the men's 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke in London. His seed times are 54.85 and 2:00.75.
