Industry News: Strokeview.com Announces Underwater Analysis System

GREENSBORO, North Carolina, February 25. GREENSBORO-based Strokeview.com has unveiled a first of its kind underwater recording/observation/technical analysis system. Using 4 underwater cameras strategically placed in the pool; you can now capture almost every angle of each stroke on every lap.

"Our goals were to create a system that was easy to use (coach friendly), captured as much video as possible in a single lap, could withstand daily use in the pool environment, and make it affordable to clubs of all sizes. After almost a year of testing, we have accomplished that goal" said Creator/Owner Jim Klinger.

Originally built for the Greensboro Community YMCA swim team; the product is receiving rave reviews. Coach Dave Hollander of GCY was excited from day one when the 4 camera system was placed in the water.

"Usually, we only see this type of technology during the Olympics or at National level meets. Now, we can use it as often as we like. StrokeView's SV4 is a comprehensive underwater recording system that enables coaches and swimmers to view and review stroke technique like never before. It has opened windows into stroke technique analysis that were previously closed, and is helping our swimmers unlock their true potential!" said Hollander.

"Studying underwater technique is critical for providing quality feedback to swimmers. StrokeView's SV4 gives you 4 different angles every lap allowing the coach and swimmer to maximize their technique development," said Coach David Marsh.

SV4 consist of 4 high quality underwater Sony 1/3" color CCD cams, 4 mobile set anywhere in or out of the pool weighted bases, a 4 channel triplex DVR, a 20" LCD TV, a wireless headset, mobile SV4 Command Center cart, all the connectors, cords, software, and accessories needed to playback and/or transfer your videos to a computer for further analysis. Also bundled with SV4 is SportsMotion's Pro-Trainer Motion Analysis software. There is nothing else to buy or hook to SV4, it's a complete package for $2,950 and shipping is included in the price. All components carry a full 2 year replacement warranty.

SV4 can be upgraded to an 8 cam system (SV8) and they also make a complete one camera system for smaller clubs.
