INDUSTRY NEWS: Schoeman, Neethling Ink Deals With Arena

TOLENTINO, Italy, March 10. SOUTH Africa's two biggest names in swimming have signed endorsement deals with Arena and will wear the company's products for the next four years.

Roland Schoeman and Ryk Neethling recently agreed to terms with the company and will compete in Arena wear at this summer's World Championships in Montreal and beyond.

Last summer, Schoenman and Neethling helped South Africa to a gold medal and world record in the 400 freestyle relay at the Athens Olympics. Schoenman also added a silver medal in the 100 freestyle and a bronze in the 50 free.

Recently, Schoenman and Neethling torched the World Cup circuit, with each setting world records. Schoeman equaled Ian Crocker's short-course global standard in the 100 free (46.25) while Neethling set a world mark in the 100 individual medley (52.01).
