Industry News: Colorado Time Systems Brings Championship Atmosphere to FINA World Junior Championships

LOVELAND, Colorado, November 21. COLORADO Time Systems (CTS) played a vital role in the 3rd FINA World Junior Swimming Championships. This event was the first in the 5-year timing & scoring partnership between FINA and CTS for the World Junior Swimming Championships at which 46 championship records were set.

"This year's 3rd FINA World Junior Swimming Championships was one of the best ones yet and Colorado Time Systems played a significant role in making that possible. The team from CTS was professional and brought unmatched expertise to managing the event. What they did behind the scenes with their video display & precision timing translated into a championship atmosphere for the athletes and an exciting show for our spectators. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience with CTS," said Johnny Bello, President of the Peruvian Swimming Federation and organizers of the event.

Colorado Time Systems worked with the Peruvian Swimming Federation, the Organizing Committee of this championship, to create a world class experience for more than 500 competitors, from 58 countries. CTS provided state of the art technology and professional technicians to manage all of the precision timing, scoring and data handling. When the difference between winning and losing comes down to hundredths of a second, CTS's advanced equipment gave organizers the confidence that they could measure precisely.

"Colorado Time Systems was pleased to work with The Peruvian Swimming Federation, in conjunction with FINA to enhance the championship experience for athletes, organizers, and spectators. This is an ideal venue to attract more young athletes to participate in aquatic sports and we look forward to playing a role in future World Junior Swimming Championships," said Dr. Anita Sayed, President & CEO of Colorado Time Systems.
