Industry Insider: Harlem Honeys & Bears

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 24. THIS week, the Industry Insider presents a special edition that ties in closely with this holiday season. Swimming World was honored to share the story of the inner-city program Harlem Honeys and Bears from New York.

Originally founded in 1979 as a synchro program, the Honeys and Bears strive to teach adults and children how to survive and swim in the water. They also work closely with disabled individuals and stress the importance of saving lives. Harlem Honeys and Bears is a non-paid, voluntary organization that believes in giving back to the community.

Eve Julian from International Sports Timing surprised the Honeys and Bears with a four-digit digital pace clock to help them achieve their goals. The Honeys and Bears priceless reaction illustrates their dedication and passion to the cause.
