BLOOMINGTON, Indiana, September 18. THE Big Ten Network today announced that the October 10 swimming and diving dual meet between the Indiana Hoosiers and Auburn Tigers will be broadcast live starting at 1 p.m. ET.

The Friday afternoon meet at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center on the Bloomington campus will serve as the season opener for both schools.

“The Indiana Hoosiers dual meet against the Auburn Tigers brings together two of the most significant swimming and diving teams in the illustrious history of the NCAA,” said Indiana head coach Ray Looze. “It is an honor to compete against such a program on live TV and we look forward to compelling contest.”

The combined men’s and women’s dual meet will be packaged in a two-hour format, with the details of events to be announced at a later date.

Indiana Swimming and Diving is no stranger to the Big Ten Network as its dual meet with in-state rival Purdue is shown annually on the Network. This is the first time a dual meet with a nonconference opponent will be shown live on the BTN.

The season opener with Auburn kicks off a challenging fall schedule for IU. On October 24 the squads will travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to face the host Wolverines, Texas and Louisville. This is an annual matchup with the Cardinals being added to the event this season.

The following Friday on October 31, the men and women travel to Knoxville, Tennessee for what has become an annual meeting with the Volunteers and Kentucky Wildcats. That is followed by the Hoosierland Invitational (December 5-7) and USA Swimming Winter Nationals (December 4-6/Greensboro, North Carolina).
