Hyman Wins Performance of the Year Award

ORLANDO, FL. MISTY Hyman, whose gold medal performance in the women's 200 meter butterfly was one of the greatest upsets of the 2000 Olympic Games, was honored tonight with the USA "Performance of the Year" award.

Hyman, 21, a senior at Stanford University, upset Australia's Susie O'Neill, the world record-holder and defending Olympic champion, setting an Olympic and American record of 2:05.88.
