Hugo Bregman Breaks Three Masters World Records at the Open Dutch Masters Championships

Legendary masters swimmer Hugo Bregman from the Netherlands broke three Masters World Records over the weekend at the Open Dutch Masters Championships in The Hague in the Netherlands.

Bregman demolished the 60-64 World Record in the 200 fly with a 2:23.52 smashing the old record of 2:29.05 held by Lawrence Day from 2011.

Bregman then broke the World Record in the 50 fly with a 27.65 to just get by the old record of 27.85 by Trip Hedrick set in 2017. He closed out the meet with a World Record in the 100 fly with a 1:02.00. He was well under the old record of 1:03.03 held by Richard Abrahams from 2005.

This was Bregman’s seventh world record in his career as he still holds a 55-59 world record in the 200 fly (2:15.97) from 2013.
