How They Train: Victor Polyakov

Victor Polyakov of Taganrong has been demonstrating his prowess at the NCAA Division II Championships for the past couple years. Polyakov trains with coach Jamie Rudisill at West Chester University where he has achieved great success across the board in the freestyle events.

In 2014 he won titles in the 200, 500, 1000, and 1650 yard freestyles and has rounded up a total of 13 All-America awards (counting relays). Polyakov lends a lot of his appreciation for the sport to his older brother who impressed upon him the priority of coming to America to train and compete in the NCAA.

To learn more about Polyakov’s training and impressive attitude check out this month’s issue of Swimming World!
