H2O Frogs of TCU Improve to 10-1 With Win Over North Texas

DENTON, TX, January 20. THE Texas Christian University women's swimming team defeated North Texas, 124-104, last night at the North Texas Student Recreation Center, per TCU reports.

TCU posted the top times in 10 of the 13 events on the evening. With the win, the Frogs picked up their 10th dual meet victory of the season, which puts them at the 10-win plateau for the fourth consecutive year.

Senior Aimee Moreau won a pair of individual events and was on the winning 400-freestyle relay to lead the team. In the fourth event of the night, Moreau finished with a time of 25.25 seconds to claim the top spot in the 50-freestyle. Two events later, the she picked up her second victory of the night when she won 100-butterfly in 1:00.36.

Moreau rounded out her top performance with a victory in the 400-freestyle relay when she teamed with seniors Christie McAdams and Tiffany Strawn, as well as junior Jennifer Antisdale. The team finished with a time of 3:42.65 seconds, which was 3.01 seconds ahead of the TCU "B" relay consisting of junior Amanda Reid and sophomores Karen Sandifer, Kelly Wannemacher and Keleigh Wentworth (3:45.66).

On the diving side of the pool, junior Kelly Seely and freshman Pam Campbell finished first and second, respectively, in the diving competitions. Seely, who was named the C-USA Diver of the Week on Nov. 16, totaled 238.12 points in the 1-meter and 231.83 points in the 3-meter in just her second competition of the season. Meanwhile, Campbell finished with 229.35 points in the one-meter and 212.10 in the 3-meter springboard to earn the two runner-up finishes.

The H2O Frogs will return to action on Friday afternoon when they welcome LSU to the University Recreation Center for the 1 p.m. dual.
