Greg Shaw Sets Masters 55-59 50-Meter Fly World Record at New England Masters LMSC Championship

MIDDLEBURY, Vermont, June 26. GREG Shaw took down the men's 55-59 50-meter fly world record with a time of 27.08 at the New England Masters LMSC Championship. That effort surpassed the 27.43 set by Richard Abrahams. Meanwhile, a USMS and six Canadian Masters records fell during the long course meter competition held from June 22-24.

Barbara Hummel broke the USMS standard in the women's 55-59 200 breaststroke with a time of 3:18.16, while Wieslaw Musial, Chris Smith and Ian Smith each set Canadian Masters records.

Musial went 1:06.52 in the men's 50-54 100 back and 2:23.15 in the men's 50-54 200 back, while Chris Smith touched in 8:24.94 in the men's 75-79 400 IM.

Ian Smith set three 65-69 records in the men's events. He clocked a 27.90 in the 50 free, 1:04.58 in the 100 free and 31.39 in the 50 fly.
