Fran Crippen and Stewart Goossens Discuss Recent Open Water Swims on The Morning Swim Show, August 31, 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 31. WORLD championships bronze medalist Fran Crippen talks about the finish of the 10K swim in Italy and Stewart Goossens relives his swim across the Strait of Gibraltar on today's edition of The Morning Swim Show.

Crippen gives viewers the specifics regarding the final few meters of the 10K swim at the world championships, where he briefly swam under a buoy and outside the finish chute. Crippen talks about the disadvantage the error caused him and how he was able to battle back into bronze medal position. Goossens talks about the challenge of swimming in the wake of major boats in the Strait of Gibraltar and being at the mercy of Mother Nature in terms of planning.
