FLASH! World Record Broken by Jessica Long at GTAC Disability Open

YPSILANTI, Michigan. May 27. AMERICAN Jessica Long broke the world record in the 200 meter freestyle at the GTAC Disability Open today with a time of 2:27.19.

Classified as an S8 swimmer because she has no legs from above the knee, Jessica competes with the Maryland team from the Merrett Towson Manta Rays.

Jessica is working to secure a spot on the U.S. Team that will compete at World Paralympic Championships in Durban, South Africa this November.

The meet continues through tomorrow evening at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti and is hosted by the Greater Toledo Aquatic Club.
