Five-Star Brady Fox Picks College

OLNEY, Maryland, November 3. ANOTHER Swimming World five-star prospect has come forward with a collegiate pledge today. This time, Brady Fox, who swims for Rockville Montgomery and attends Georgetown Prep, has made the call on where he's spending the next four years.

Fox, who has U.S. Olympic Trials cuts in the 100-meter back (56.67) and 200-meter back (2:01.79), is staying close to home as he is headed to the University of Virginia. Fox also already has a time that clears the NCAA Division I B cut in the 200-yard back (1:44.96).

"I really felt like I fit in with the team at UVA both in and out of the pool, and after I finished all of my trips, I realized that the most important thing to me was how I got along with the team," Fox told Swimming World. "Also, I feel like UVA has the chance to build its program into something special, and hopefully work our way up in the NCAA rankings. I am really excited to be a Cavalier, and cannot wait to get in the pool next year."

Fox joins an ever-deepening class of recruits on the Virginia men's team. Fellow five-star Matt Houser helps Fox make up the top-of-the-line core of the recruiting class.

Meanwhile, three-stars Justin Ashcraft, Kevin Marsteller and Matt Murray have already committed to Virginia.
