Finland Long Course Nationals: Hanna-Maria Seppala Doubles

ESPOO, Finland, July 2. THE third day of swimming at the Finland Long Course Nationals came to a close with an individual double from Hanna-Maria Seppala.

Seppala topped the women's 100 back in 1:02.92, while Mimosa Jallow claimed second in 1:04.08. Lotta Nevalainen wound up third in 1:04.52. Seppala doubled up with a 25.60 in the women's 50 free. Marlene Niemi earned second in 25.94, while Laura Kurki touched third in 26.17.

Teemu Vuorela, Severi Allonen, Toni Kurkinen and Ari-Pekka Liukkonen clocked a 3:25.85 in the men's 400 free relay. That performance lowered the listed meet record of 3:26.23 set back in 2009.

Anni Alitalo, Jessika Stolze, Petra Soininen and Hanna-Maria Seppala won the women's 400 medley relay in 4:13.65. That effort crushed the listed meet record of 4:17.76 clocked in 2009.

Ilkka Hanhineva claimed the men's 100 fly in 54.73, while Mika Sola placed second in 55.10. Ossi Oksa earned third in 55.40.

Sami Juopperi hit the wall in 4:28.65 to win the men's 400 IM. Anton Dobrzhanskiy took second in 4:34.99, while Marko Vilpponen placed third in 4:38.93.

Laura Lajunen clocked a 17:35.00 to win the women's 1500 free. Tiina Lindgren finished second in 17:48.27, while Benita Haikola touched third in 17:51.88.

Severi Allonen clocked a 1:52.92 to win the men's 200 free. Aleksi Eskelinen (1:54.20) and Niko Korhonen (1:56.53) rounded out the top three.

Noora Laukkanen earned the women's 200 breast title in 2:33.00, while Anu Lehtinen placed second in 2:39.77. Jessika Stolze posted a 2:40.44 for third overall.

Niko Hamalainen turned in a 28.74 to win the men's 50 breast, while Iisakki Ratilainen claimed second in 28.86. Eetu Karvonen snared third in 28.97.
