FINA Awards Nearly Half-a-Million Dollars as Part of Diving World Series

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, September 19. TODAY, FINA announced the cash distribution for top divers who competed in the three-stop Diving World Series. In the end, nearly half-a-million dollars ($480,000 to be exact) went to divers in the series.

The series consisted of events held in Sheffield, England (September 1-2, 2007), Mexico City (September 7-8) and Nanjing, China (September 15-16)

The following announced allocations do not necessarily mean that each diver accepted the prize money. Some divers may have turned down the cash to protect their amateur standing with the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA).
