Women’s Swimmer of the Week

Siobhan Haughey, Michigan

Jr. – Hong Kong – St. Paul’s Secondary School

  • Recorded three first place finishes and NCAA A Standard times for the Wolverines over the weekend at the UGA Fall Invitational
  • Set Big Ten and Michigan records in the 100 freestyle and 200 IM, beating her own previous record as well as helped set a school record in the 400 freestyle relay
  • Achieved seven NCAA A Standard cuts total, three individual and four relay events
  • Earns her seventh career Swimmer of the Week honor and the fourth of the season
  • Last Michigan Swimmer of the Week: Haughey (Oct. 25, 2017)

Women’s Diver of the Week

Addison Walkowiak, Rutgers

Sr. – Ballston Spa, N.Y. – Ballston Spa

  • Won the 1-meter (332.15), 3-meter (324.85) and platform (261.37) diving events at the Big Al Open
  • Posted NCAA zone qualifying scores for all three events
  • Earns her sixth career Diver of the Week award and the second of the season
  • Last Rutgers Diver of the Week: Addison Walkowiak (Nov. 8, 2017)

Women’s Freshman of the Week

Mackenzie Padington, Minnesota

Campbell River, B.C., Canada – Claremont Secondary

  • Recorded two first place finishes and one second place finish for the Gophers over the weekend at the Minnesota Invitational
  • Posted NCAA B Standard times in three events, 100 (48.45), 200 (1:44.15), and 500 (4:38.54) freestyle
  • Set a new school record in the 200-yard freestyle and posted the second fasted 500 freestyle time in the Big Ten this weekend
  • Earns her second career Freshman of the Week award
  • Last Minnesota Freshman of the Week: Padington (Oct. 11, 2017)

 

 

Men’s Swimmer of the Week

Felix Auböck, Michigan

So. – Vienna, Austria – SLZB

  • Placed first in the 200 (1:33.69), 500 (4:12.02) and 1,650 freestyle (14:43.76) as well as helped his team to a second place finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay
  • Recorded an NCAA A Standard qualifying time in the 500 freestyle and NCAA B Standard times in the 200 and 1,650 freestyle
  • Earns his first career Swimmer of the Week honor
  • Last Michigan Swimmer of the Week: Jacob Montague (Oct. 4, 2017)

Diver of the Week

Ross Todd, Michigan

Fr. – Adelaide, Australia – Reynella East College

  • Earned a first, second and fourth place finish at the UGA Fall Invitational over the weekend
  • Posted NCAA zone qualifying scores in the 1-meter (308.85), 3-meter (376.85) and platform (337.45) events
  • Earns his first Diver of the Week award
  • Last Michigan Diver of the Week: Jake Herremans (Oct. 4, 2017)

Men’Freshman of the Week

Daniel Swanepoel, Iowa

Cape Town, South Africa – South African College Schools

  • Advanced to the A Finals in the 500 freestyle 400 IM and 200 breaststroke at the Minnesota Invitational
  • Placed first in the 500 free (4:25.69) and the 400 IM (3:52.54) and second in the 200 breaststroke (1:57.18) while recording
  • NCAA B Standard times in the 400 IM and 200 breaststroke
  • Earns his first Freshman of the Week award
  • Last Iowa Freshman of the Week: Anton Hoherz (Oct. 11, 2017)
