Faroe Islands Host Nordic Junior Championships

TORSHAVN, Faroe Islands, December 4. PAL Joensen and Kari Hovdanum shined at the Nordic Junior Championships as the duo combined to set six national records for the Faroe Islands as the nation hosted the short course meet from Dec. 1-2.

Joensen set a range of freestyle records with standards in the 200 (1:51.92), 400 (3:54.64) and 1500 (15:24.50) freestyle events.

Meanwhile, Hovdanum swept his nation's backstroke standards with records in the 50 (26.95), 100 (57.76) and 200 (2:06.44) backstrokes.
