Euro All Stars Pick Up Reinforcement As Marco Koch Joins Duel in the Pool

GLASGOW, Scotland, November 2. JUST weeks after both USA Swimming and British Swimming announced the rosters for the Team USA versus European All Stars Duel in the Pool coming in December, Germany’s Marco Koch has been added to the All Stars squad according to SwimSportNews.

Koch, an Olympic finalist, is a huge addition for the All Stars as the team could dominate the U.S. in the men’s breaststroke events Koch not only just won silver in the 200 breast at the World Long Course Championships this past summer, he’s also a short course dynamo having won the European title in the 200 in 2010.

The meet, taking place in Glasgow Dec. 20-21 in short course meters format, will feature dual meet scoring with a premium on winning head-to-head events.

According to SwimSportNews, Koch had considered swimming in the Salnikov Cup instead of the Duel, but made the decision to be part of the intercontinental battle.
