ESPN to Cover 24 Hours of FINA World Championships in July

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, June 24. FINA (Le Federation Internationale de Natation), the world governing body for aquatic sports, announced that ESPN will air 25 hours of the 10th FINA World Championships from Barcelona, Spain, between July 13 and July 27.

Swimming and synchronized swimming will share airtime each day with water polo. As such, official times for water polo coverage have not yet been determined.

Both the U.S. men’s and women’s water polo teams will be competing at this year’s World Championships. The top three teams from the men’s tournament automatically qualify for next year’s Olympics. The Team USA women are currently ranked No. 2 in the world.
