Emma Berry Named Western Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week

DENVER, Colorado, October 2. HAWAII sophomore Emma Berry has been named the Western Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Athlete of the Week, for the week of Oct. 1.

Berry, a native of Norman, Okla., was the top performer for the Rainbow Wahine in two dual meets versus Arizona State at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatics Complex in Honolulu.

Berry captured first-place in five of the six individual events she competed in over the weekend, touching the wall first in the 1000-meter freestyle (10:13:17), 500-meter freestyle (4:58.82), 400 IM (4:28.22), 800-meter freestyle (9:24.92), and 400-meter freestyle (4:32.67). She also placed fourth in the 200-meter freestyle with a time of 2:12.37.
