Eleanor Robinson Sets British Record on Day 3 of Para-International

On the third day of action at the 2016 British Para-International meet one British record fell through four butterfly events.

Eleanor Robinson set the S6 British record on her way to winning the women’s 50 butterfly tonight. She touched in 36.34. Susannah Rodgers swam a 36.20 for second place, under the S7 classification. Third place went to Elise Martin-De-La-Torree in 40.30 in the S6 classification.

Andrew Mullen won the men’s 50 fly with a 36.60, in the S5 classification. S6 swimmer Sascha Kindred touched in 33.29 for second place. Rounding out the podium was Alexander Goodman in 36.14, under the S7 classification.

In the 100 butterfly, Claire Cashmore touched in 1:12.07, just ahead of Amy Marren in 1:13.25, as the two S9 classification athletes topped the podium. Alic Tai finished third in 1:10.69, competing in the S10 classification.

James Clegg was the champion in the men’s 100 butterfly as the S12 swimmer finished in 1:00.35. A pair of S10 classification swimmers, James Hollis and Kahoru Harazawa touched in 59.76 and 59.84 to finish second and third.
