Eight Days and Counting Until SEC Championships: Florida’s Gregg Troy Previews Meet

GAINESVILLE, Florida, February 10. THE Florida Gators will head to the Southeastern Conference as the defending men’s team champion and a top contender on the women’s side. Head coach Gregg Troy is excited about preparing his teams for the championship phase of the season, and he talked with the media today about what’s in store for the meet.

This year’s conference championship will feature a five-day meet that will require teams “to take your enthusiasm and maintain it over five days.” He also talks about a strong men’s team that will include six swimmers that will be left home but could make qualifying times for the NCAA championships.

The Southeastern Conference championships begin February 18 and runs through February 22.
