Women's Individual Results

Christiansen could not reset her state record in the 200 IM, but she took the top spot in the event by more than seconds (2:04.70). She also captured the 100 yard backstroke title, swimming to a time of 57.84. She holds the 4A state record in the 100 backstroke (57.13, 2005), 100 breaststroke (1:06.12, 2006), and the 200 IM(2:04.68, 2006).

East High School also swept the relays. It set a 19-year-old record in the 400 yard freestyle relay, formerly held by Skyline High School. The quartet of Lau, sophomore Alina Fong, junior Shelby Bull and Christiansen eclipsed the 1988 record with a time of 3:34.67. In the 200 yard freestyle relay, the relay team of Christiansen, freshman Meghan Brockmeyer, sophomore Natalie Thatcher and Bull narrowly missed the 4A state record by .02 seconds. The team's 1:40.30 time, however, was enough to beat the field by more than a second.

Wells recorded a time of 1:57.04 in the 200 IM and crushed the breaststroke field with a time of 57.95.
