Dyatchine, Maurer Win First Stop of FINA Marathon Swimming World Cup In Santos

SANTOS, Brazil, January 28. ON Friday, Russian Vladimir Dyatchine and German Angela Maurer claimed the first stop in the FINA Marathon Swimming World Cup series with wins in Santos, Brazil.

In the 10K race, Dyatchine clocked a winning time of 2:04:15, while Russian teammates Yuri Kudinov (2:04.50) and Evgeny Koshkarov (2:04:52) took second and third place, respectively.

Maurer led all women with a time of 2:15:08, while German teammate Britta Kamrau-Corestein claimed silver in 2:15:10. Russian Anna Uvarova rounded out the top three in 2:15:51.

The next race in the 12-event series will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on April 7.
