Denison’s Damon Rosenburg Downs NCAA Division III 100 Breast Record Again

OXFORD, Ohio, December 6. AFTER first wiping away any controversy in the NCAA Division III record in the 100-yard breaststroke with a record this morning in prelims of the Miami Invitational, Denison’s Damon Rosenburg became the first NCAA D3 man to ever break 54 seconds.

This morning, Rosenburg clocked a 54.08 to clear the recently vacated NCAA D3 record of 54.27 set by Staten Island’s Pavel Buyanov. Tonight, he went a 53.61 to make himself far-and-away the fastest man to ever swim the event at the NCAA Division III level.

Roseburg also placed fifth in the 50 free tonight in 20.84 and helped Denison’s 400 medley relay to a win in 3:16.13.
